Roy Stuart (born October 25, 1955 in New York City) is an American photographer and director who lives in Paris. His books are published by Taschen.
One of the characteristics of the photographs of Roy Stuart is an astute blending of glamour photography and pornography which puts a strong emphasis on female models and BDSM aesthetics. Stuart's photos and glimpse videos have aquired cult status even amongst experienced hardcore fans, and with good reason, for they represent an exquisite representation of the forbidden. In turns voyeuristic, in turns narrative, his pictures with their disarming explicitness subvert traditional moral codes and force the viewer to reevaluate his or her preconceived notions of sexuality.
Mmmmh Actually I think that the difference is a question of subjectivity (AND it is really fascinating !!!), AND that an exquisite power of suggestion frankly can be strongly HOT than unsightly Hardcore . . .
